About Shemesh
We’ve been running summer camps for more than 30 years. Every year we run fun and stimulating camps for over 500 10-18 year olds. Many of our madrichim (leaders) are former participants, and they know exactly what they are trying to achieve:
- a friendly, inclusive, and safe atmosphere.
- a place where participants are having fun while being exposed to new ideas and experiences
- a chance to think about Jewishness and live it day-to-day
We call our summer camps for 10-15 year olds Shemesh (sun). Shemesh is a two-week camp experience away from home, parents, and school work. There are four different camps depending on how old you are and each has a slightly different flavour.
The dates for RSY-Netzer Shemesh 2013 are:

RSY-Netzer Day Camp 2013

Back due to popular demand, RSY-Netzer is running a Day Camp in North London for 5-11 year olds on 29 July - 02 August 2013.
For the first time, we will also be running a Central London Day Camp for 5-11 year olds on 05 August - 09 August 2013

For it's second year, RSY-Netzer is holding a non-residential summer scheme in South Manchester for 5-11 year olds! The Manchester Day Camp dates are 19 - 23 August 2013.

RSY-Netzer Day Camp is perfect for anyone who wants the magic of a youth movement experience but also wants to be home in time for tea. RSY-Netzer Day Camp is a one week, non-residential programme and everyday is jam packed with activities your child will love. Whether you are cooking, pretending to be an acrobat on a bouncy castle, being an actor for the day in our drama sessions, testing your rock star skills in our music workshops, creating masterpieces in our arts & crafts groups or behaving like pirates on a treasure hunt; there will be something for everyone.
Every day has been carefully planned to stimulate, educate and entertain. Your child will have kef (fun) trying new things, getting dirty, being silly and letting their imagination run wild. They won't even care that they are learning, growing, expanding their minds, exercising their bodies, cultivating their imagination and building self-confidence!
You can feel confident that your child is in good hands with RSY-Netzer’s highly qualified, highly trained, highly experienced young Jewish leaders, plus senior leaders and staff from the Reform Movement. All our leaders are carefully recruited, thoroughly trained and CRB checked. Our leaders are dedicated to making sure your child has the best week of their summer!
For anyone who wants to experience our magical Youth Movement atmosphere and isn’t quite ready for a residential summer programme, RSY-Netzer Day Camp is the perfect choice this summer.
