What have we been up to?
This week's hotly debated conversation has been what household item would we use in a Zombie invasion?
So despite working on tour training and finishing course hadracha events, Richard chose two Nail guns, with a kitchen knife taped as a bayonet.
Gideon social action meetings took up too much time, and as a result we chose a tea spoon as his weapon of choice.
Josh amongst his thousands of meetings, writing reports chose the combo of the Netzer BookBook (for sage advice), Maoz's comb over (for rigidity) and Jeremy Leigh's Eyebrows (for pure density, no zombie could bite through those!). Failing that we also found this way of hiding!
Alma whilst sorting shemesh forms and planning kid free camp decided she'd half heatedly use a chainsaw, but to be honest, she'd probably give up and become a Zombie! Poor form Alma - us Reform Zionists must found a new post-Zombie Kibbutz!
Kim meanwhile has been organising the Zionist Youth Council roadshow, and she decided she'd run for it and eventually accept the Zombie way becoming their messiah.
Finally, Jude Williams went for a loud speaker in one hand and a copy of the Netzer Reform Zionist Perspective in the other. In her own words "killer stuff!" And our very own Navy man Youth Worker said, well I can only quote, "Just a pair of knuckle dusters for me - bring it on!!!"

Community action meeting - more fighting climate change! Challenging the government
Doing something About Climate Change
This event is part of the Stop the Climate Chaos Coalition (SCCC), a coalition of hundreds of organisations whose aim is to encourage communities to pressure their MP’s to do more about Climate Change.
We don't believe the Government is doing enough to prevent a rise of 2% in climate temperature. Any more than a 1.5 % rise threatens the viability and existence of many countries, particularly those that bear the least responsibility for causing the problem.
Join us in an incredible opportunity to ask your local M P what he is doing about
Climate Change and find out if you believe it is enough. Hear from UNICEF and Friends of the Earth on what a serious issue Climate Change is becoming.
For more information about the SCCC campaign please visit http://www.stopclimatechaos.org/

Israel Corner
This week's Israel Corner comes from Ben Abram, our beloved Northern Project Worker and future Israel tour leader. He wants us to think about the so called 'Israeli apartheid' and has found a great article on why it isn't as simple as that. Click here to find out all about it.

UJIA B'Derech! Be there!
B’derech 2011
A cross-communal Jewish leadership seminar bringing together School Year 12’s
with passion and potential to learn with and from each other.
For 20 years, the UJIA has been running B’derech; a cross-communal leadership training seminar for school year 12s.
If you are thinking about being a madrich/a on your youth movement summer camp this year, or improving your leadership skills in general – come to B’derech to learn the tricks of the trade.
This year the programme has been developed together with all of the youth movement workers to provide you with the most relevant and up to date hadracha (leadership) training possible. As a result this is an additional day which we will be hosting to ensure that you are the most qualified year group of madrichim to date.
The day will begin with rich and engaging ‘how-to’ sessions, which will be followed by key leadership skills. In the afternoon you will get the opportunity to put all of your new-found wisdom and skills, into practice by writing and running your own programmes!
This will all be intertwined with opportunities to find similarities and differences between all the movements whilst learning more about their beliefs and practices.
It is a great chance to catch up with your friends from tour and meet people
from lots of other movements too.
We would be delighted if you would join us for B’dererch, 2011
Date: Sunday 10th April 2011
Time: 10am-4.30pm
Venue: 37 Kentish Town Road, London, NW1 8NX
£5 payable on the day.
