Shnat Netzer - Update 6
Here in Israel we are back to business! The shnattim returned from chofesh, after being literally all- over the country. They all seem very happy and had really good stories and adventures to share.
Etgar had an interesting week, focusing on the immigration to Israel in the last century. They went to the Diaspora Museum in Tel- Aviv (http://www.bh.org.il/en/default.aspx ). On Wednesday they went on a fun day in the biblical zoo of Jerusalem- http://www.jerusalemzoo.org.il/len/index.php?sid=360 . You can read more about their week below in Danieall's report.
Machoniks had a normal week as well, and enjoyed their soft landing back to Machon, when they spent their first day back in Tel- Aviv

Dear parents, shnattim and snifim shalom rav!
Everything is so peaceful and quiet- there is hardly anything to tell.
As you all know, this is now Sukkot, and all the shnattim have 9 days off to travel, explore, relax and get to know Israel better. Everybody are having their own adventures in the North, South and Centre of Israel.

This is a shout out to all you keen beans - can you crack the weekly riddle?
Any solutions win you major RSY-Netzer kudos and general 'win points'. If you collect a sufficient number of 'win points' you will become officially 'cool'. You can put that on your CV and everything...
Anyway, get solving!
Add a commentNetanyahu's Speech at the UN
Here is the speech that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu gave to the UN General Assembly on September 24th 2009 in response to both a speech by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and a UN report on human rights violations in Gaza.
What do you think of what he had to say? Was he right to have made this speech? Should a condemnation of Ahmadinejad's views and a defence of Israel's actions be linked in the same speech, or are the two unrelated? Take a read or watch the speech and then give your thoughts below!
Shnat Netzer - Update 3
Dear parents, shnattim and snifim shalom,
Rosh Hashana took place last weekend, and added another day to our weekend here in Israel- Sunday. For the majority reading this email, it is obvious that Sunday is a part of the weekend- in Israel, the week starts on Sunday. Not this week though. Majority of shnattim spent their Rosh Hashana eve with family, friends or host families. One obvious thing that repeated in most of the shnattim's report to us was- they had a really good meal!! Thank god for Jewish holy days!
The Machoniks went on their Northern Tiyul, and are having a great time. Sophie sprained her ankle on the hike, but is doing fine. Everybody went on several hikes in the Golan Heights, went ice- skating and really enjoyed their time.
