What global problems should we prioritise?
In a lecture that can be found here, Bjorn Lomborg argues that climate change should not necessarily be prioritised above other competing concerns. In a gathering of some of the world's foremost economists at a summit called the 'Copenhagen Consensus', global issues were addressed ranging from malnutritution to malaria, from climate change to water sanitation. The important part of their analysis was that they not only looked at how grave the problem was, but also how effective current available solutions are for those problems. It's well worth a look, and feel free to agree or disagree below.

Dear parents, shnattim and snifim shalom rav!
It is a confusing winter these days as the weather changing each day and "does not come to a decision" whether to rain or to be hot. We had a few days of rain but now the past week was like the beginning of spring with 28c'-29c' .

Dear parents, snifim and shnattim shalom!
This week started with a great mega event, organized by MASA. MASA is an organization that was created by the Jewish Agency for Israel together with the Israeli government 5 tears ago. This organization help bring thousands of Jewish Youth to Israel for long term programs. Along the year, MASA have functions and activities for the participants, and has one Mega event. This year's event took place on Sunday in Jerusalem. Over 3000 participants were invited to an event which included different stalls, a few speakers (among those, Yuli Adelstein, the Israeli Minister of Information and Diaspora; Nathan Sheranski- the head of the Jewish Agency), singers, dancers and a main concert- The Idan Reichel Project. The event was really great and enjoyable, and gave some perspective of our program as one of many options to come explore Israel.

This is a note about the Goldstone report.
For those who have different facebook friends to me, and so haven’t seen a flurry of articles, youtube links and the like, almost all of them slamming the report, I’ll explain what it is. Then I’ll explain why I think we need to take it seriously.
Richard Goldstone is a prominent South African judge with vast experience of investigating human rights abuses worldwide: including South Africa, Yugoslavia, and Rwanda. He is Jewish; according to his daughter he is a Zionist; he is a trustee of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; and by his own admission, has ‘supported Israel and the Jewish people all [his] life’.
