Veidah

16 – 19 April 2009

Veidah (conference) is where RSY-Netzer’s decisions are made. The movement workers work for you, the movement, so come and tell them what to do and how it should be done.

Alongside discussing many important things, Veidah is sure to be a fantastic three days, a shabbat spent together in true RSY-Netzer style, evening kef peulot, a chance to spend time with old friends and meet new ones from other year groups. Veidah is a real highlight of the RSY-Netzer year, reminding us what our movement is all about.

This year our public proposal, that we will be learning lots about prior to decision making is on Zionism. We are a Zionist Youth Movement – but what does that actually mean? Can we take a further political stance? How should we educate about it? How can we express Zionism here in the UK?

If there is something that really niggles you about RSY, that you don’t think we do well enough, that you think we should take a stand on, then you are welcome to bring you own private proposal, and hopefully a peulah on the issue, so that the movement can discuss it and decide what to do. Perhaps you have an idea of a social action project you want us to support; maybe you think we should take a particular Jewish observance more (of less) seriously. Should RSY-Netzer be ideologically vegetarian? If you have any ideas already forming then let us know in advance!
