Tikkun Leil Shavuot
28 – 29 May 2009
8 pm – 8 am
Alyth Synagogue (bring a sleeping bag: you might want a nap at some point!)
A long time ago the Torah was revealed to the Israelites on Mount Sinai. And so began a beautiful love affair… But unfortunately the Israelites fell asleep.
Join us on the anniversary of our ancestors’ rudeness - for a Tikkun, a repair of that night. We will be staying up all night exploring the theme of lurrrrrrrve!
- Do God and Israel love each other? Is it an open relationship?
- What is the difference between loving God and loving people?
- When is love for heaven?
- If God loves us why are there SO many mitzvot?
- How to love the unlovable?
- and many more…
